First on our list is Ferraro’s Italian Grille, one of the finest places to get a pizza in the state. This restaurant is family-owned and operated by three generations of Sicilian-descended culinary masters.

Ferraro’s is a great place near Colony Cove to go out for lunch or to order a take out pizza. This restaurant is also classy enough for a dinner with friends. The author recommends having their margherita pizza, it’s served fresh from the oven. This restaurant is a fine eatery on the Manatee River – literally on the water on a pier. Nestled in Palmetto’s historic district, the Riverhouse offers lunch and dinner every day with both indoor and outdoor patio seating.

For an exclusive and higher-class evening, the top floor is open Friday and Saturday evenings.
